I’m a retired software engineer who spends my days walking my dogs and sometimes writing code because it’s fun.
In 2019 I decided to write an iOS client app for the Twitarr server; that app became the Kraken, released in 2020. Then, I decided to take up some work that Grundoon had started and re-write the Twitarr server itself; that effort became the V3 Twitarr server, implemented using a server package called Vapor, written in Swift. The new version of the Twitarr server had its debut on the 2022 sailing.
2025 is my fifth year releasing the Kraken, and my fourth year of working on the Twitarr server code.
